Program Overview:
Our Beginner Tattoo Training Course is a 100-hour, state-approved program created to teach you everything you need to start a career in tattooing. From understanding tattoo design and equipment to mastering safe practices, this course provides a comprehensive foundation for aspiring tattoo artists.

Course Duration:
The course is self-paced and spans over one month, with weekly in-person sessions. The first day is orientation, where you'll meet your instructor, begin foundational lectures, and learn essential tattoo techniques. After an assessment of your progress, you will receive assignments to complete before each class.
Online Resources: Upon enrollment, you’ll receive a detailed Tattoo Fundamentals eBook with essential assignments. We encourage you to read and complete it before your first class. You must also complete a Bloodborne Pathogen Class online.
By the second or third in-person session, you'll start practicing small designs on models, moving confidently from synthetic skin to real applications.

Module 1: Introduction to Tattooing
- History & Cultural Significance: Explore tattooing’s rich history and diverse styles.
- Equipment Basics: Overview of tattoo tools, machines, and essential supplies.
Module 2: Design Fundamentals
- Design Principles: Understanding composition, layout, and custom design.
- Sketching Techniques: Learn how to transfer designs onto skin seamlessly.
Module 3: Tattoo Equipment & Setup
- Tattoo Machine Types: Get familiar with machine components and needle selection.
- Workstation Setup: Set up and sterilize your workstation with confidence.
Module 4: Skin Anatomy & Techniques
- Understanding Skin Layers: Knowledge of skin anatomy for better tattooing results.
- Synthetic Skin Practice: Hands-on training for outlining, shading, and color application.
Module 5: Hygiene & Safety
- Infection Control: Detailed training on sterilization, PPE, and preventing cross-contamination.
- Work Area Setup: Maintain a hygienic, safe environment for your clients.
Module 6: Basic Tattooing Skills
- Practice on Synthetic Skin: Progress from simple outlines to intricate designs.
- Advanced Techniques: Gradual progression to complex designs and color application.
Module 7: Client Interaction & Aftercare
- Consultation Skills: Effectively communicate with clients, manage expectations, and gain consent.
- Aftercare Instruction: Provide clients with post-tattoo care for optimal healing.
Module 8: Professionalism & Business Basics
- Ethics in Tattooing: Uphold high standards of professionalism in the industry.
- Setting Up a Tattoo Business: Legalities, marketing, and portfolio creation.

- Hands-on Practice: Use tattoo machines on synthetic skin and progress to live models.

Final Evaluation:
At the end of the program, you’ll create a tattoo following all proper techniques, hygiene, and safety protocols. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a Certificate of Completion—a solid start to a career as a professional tattoo artist!
